Can you play a 3ds game (the 3-D kind of game) on a DSi XL?

Can I play a 3ds game on a DSi XL, or do I have to stick with only DS games?

No. Also, 3ds cartridges are slightly bigger than DS cartridges and wouldn't fit in the game slot anyways.
