Halloween week in Chicago

My partner will be visiting Chicago at the end of October, arriving the morning of the 27th and departing the morning of the 31st. She's interested in checking out anything Halloween related that may be going on in the city during this time.

We've done a bit of research on this site and others, but we haven't been able to find out about much except the yearly ghost tours, haunting grounds, etc. If you live in Chicago, perhaps you can tell us about any "hidden" Halloween-ish events this year? Parties, gatherings, parades, movie marathons, anything (a) open to the public but (b) events only locals would know about. Much obliged!

Best answer: Northalsted Halloween Parade

According to their calendar, the Music Box Theater will be showing the Rocky Horror Picture Show on the 27th, 28th, and 31st. However, their website just says the 26th.

A general round-up

Keep an eye on Time Out Chicago and the Chicago Reader for more.

She'll just miss Critical Mass on Friday. There's a children's Halloween parade in Logan Square but that wouldn't be something for a tourist to go to.

The Chicago Architecture Foundation does fantastic cemetery walking tours (scroll down for the various locations) that, while not Halloween-specific, can really put you in the mood of the holiday. I've done the Graceland Cemetery general tour, and it was well worth the price of admission.
