Does anyone have recommendations for a couples counselor or marriage/family therapist in Houston, TX -- or, at least, what resources I can use to find a good one? Thank you in advance!

Best answer: I like Norman Lawson, phd, if you can get in. He does not specialize in.... anything, as far as I can tell, but hes very excellent.

You can try http://www.marriagebootcamp.com/marriage_problem_dates.php (nov 14th- 17th, all day is the next session. You can get in even as late as the 13th.) I have worked with them for years and will be glad to answer any questions. (No, I don't get a commission :) )

http://www.interface-samaritan.org/ is pretty good from what I've seen. Again, not sure if they specialize, and I only went to a few sessions, but our one lady was good. No religious mention or pressure other than the stained glass cross in a meeting room.

I know Lawson and MBC can be extremely sliding scale on the prices. I think Interface was $10 copay. not 100% sure on that though.

And... google? :D Good luck!
