Google - Hijacked Page-Not-Found Screen

When I put a misspelled or obsolete URL in the Google address box, it gets hijacked and sent to http://www1.dlinksearch.com "Powered by Yahoo."

Suggestions?

It looks like it's a firmware setting on your DLink router that is causing this. This forum post explains how to fix the problem. The short answer is that you have to log in to your router and turn off "Advanced DNS Service" So, in simple steps

1. open up a browser

2. click on this link http://192.168.0.1/Basic/WAN.shtml [you may be asked for a username and password, check your router model on this list]

3. uncheck the box that says "enable advanced DNS"

This page shows you how to enable it, so it has some screenshots that will show you what you are looking for. I am not sure if this will work for your router, so if you get hung up on any step, just comment here and we can help you out with it.

You can try using Google's DNS.
