Transparent notes on your desktop

I'm a big fan of Mac OS X's native application, Stickies. Screenshot here: Stickies on overkill. You can make them translucent -- but is there a way/application to make them totally transparent, so that you'd only see the text, floating on top of your wallpaper?

Best answer: I don't know about stickies, but you could easily do that with geektool set to display text files.

+1 for geektool.

Best answer: The Stickies program does have settings in it for Alpha (transparency) channels, but it would take someone a lot more experienced with compilers to figure out just which lines to change.

In the meantime, there is a stickies alternative called Post Plus which features transparency settings. (I've never used it)
