I have an email address name@yahoo.ca. Can I also get name@yahoo.com ?
The printer made an error and made business cards with @yahoo.com instead of @yahoo.ca. They are printing me new ones, but with an incorrect address, the @yahoo.com ones are useless. Trying to sign up for the address at yahoo.com just yields a 'username taken' error. Google and yahoo Help searches haven't gotten me anywhere.

Is it taken by you? Does your normal login that you use at yahoo.ca work at yahoo.com?

The various Yahoo domains are all separate. You don't automatically get your username across the network. The bigger question for me is a yahoo address on a business card? If this is just a personal calling card then fine. If this is actually related to paying work using a free webmail address can make you look unprofessional. Spend $10 on a domain name so you'll look like a real business.

I second @COD: a Yahoo address screams "unprofessional" to me. It's pretty cheap to buy a domain name -- you don't need hosting -- and forward all email to your yahoo.

Response by poster: Sorry, I should have been more clear. The name is taken by me. emails to name@yahoo.com bounce back with the message 'this user does not have a yahoo.com account.'
I'm a part-time wedding photographer. I've got my own domain for my website, but I don't know enough about how to maintain the email side of things. I tried it initially, but found my messages going into people's spam folders. In short, I gave up. Hoping I can still make use of these business cards.
