How to take the mix tape online?

We used to swap mix CDs at Music Night, but one of us moved. How can we keep it up across the miles?
So, we'd have music night every couple months and bring a mix to play and talk about. We'd burn a CD for each of the other people.
But with one across the country, is there an easy way share a mix online, other than just uploading the bunch of MPs to a generic dropbox folder?
thanks!

You can search for songs available for streaming on the web using Playlist.com. I use it to make mixes of relatively popular songs for when I'm working, it doesn't have too much obscure stuff... but when I want to share my own music with people I'm far away from I just use Dropbox to put the files in, and a textfile for the order. It works out fine. Maybe your friend could skype in to your IRL gathering as well?

Sorry if this is a non-answer. I was initially skeptical, but dropbox + email thread or facebook group has been really fun for my remote mix-listening group. Adding a text file with context and naming the files sequentially (01_Whoomp_there_it_is.mp3; 02_Who_let_the_dogs_out_megamix.mp3) preserved your intended order. Plus, people can do interesting things with the folder and their music player so they'll be up to date.
It doesn't have the physical side of things you're used too, but he social element remains, and it can be a bit more convenient.

How about making a shared 8tracks account which everyone can create their mixes on?
