Help me remember the name of this show from 15+ years ago
So here's all I remember: guy was raised in an appliance box with a hole in it so all he could do was watch T.V.. He grew up and ended up as a law enforcement officer or detective, or something. He acted strange due to his upbringing (obviously) and didn't have normal relationships or interactions with people. This was at least 10+ years ago, short-lived, and on network t.v. I believe. Any clues metafilter?

So beaten to the punch. I loved Profit; it creeped me out. It's out on DVD, but seems to be out of print, so the ones at a reasonable price are apparently the used ones.

Still considered to be a great show, way way ahead of its time, except for the execrable use of contemporary CGI intended to nudge in on the VR craze of the time (and look at all the VR we live and work with every day, here in the future!), which dates the show horribly.
I'm sure Jim Profit would be a popular hero today, since his goal is to take down a transnational diversified megacorp (though the budget of the show didn't really show it to be that). Anyway, enjoy!
