Looking for Author/Titles of a trilogy about genetically engineered twinned psychopathic warriors? It wasn't new in 2005 when I read it; I think it was published mid 90s or earlier. It's essentially a Frankenstein story with genetic engineering.
I want to reread this trilogy. I remember that the names of the psychopaths was something like 'Pataphawa'. Most of them had been killed off in a war, but 3 (or 4?) sets of them were in cyrogenic suspension and got woken up somehow. I remember one set was brother and sister, one set was a set of three, one set had one member die and a new addition, and I think there was another set.
Anyone know what books I'm talking about?

Response by poster: Hm, that's not it at all. It's too recent, and has a very different plotline.
Perhaps my 'Frankenstein' comment was a bit misleading - it's 'Frankenstein' in the sense that these genetically engineered warriors (perfect soldiers) got out of control and tried to kill everybody. The trilogy is set about 30ish years later (maybe more? I'm not certain).

Best answer: Christopher Hinz's Liege Killer books? The twins are Paratwa.
