Music for mixed feelings

Need some song recommendations for wildly mixed feelings.
My grandma died last Thursday. I really, really want to be happy because my birthday is coming up this weekend and I get to do stuff with my friends. But at the same time the one friend I REALLY want to see is going to be out of town and may not have time to get together with me either this week or next. I need some music (preferably with lyrics) about how I feel, all mixed up inside. Help?

Don't ask me why, but these are what I listen to when I have that "middling" feeling, that indecisive oddness of sad/happy or energetic/all around oddness:
Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) by Arcade Fire
Cold Dust Girl by Hey Champ
The Rabbit by Miike Snow
Sons and Daughters and Red Right Ankle by The Decemberists
Four-Letter Word by Gossip
Tightrope by Janelle Monae
In For The Kill
Chilly Down from the movie "Labyrinth"
Ludo's rock opera about a man who's wife dies but he first goes back in time, then gets thrown into the distant future, in order to save her (might make you cry, but it's kinda awesome).
Broken Bride Part I
Save Our City
Part II: Tonight's the Night
Part III: The Lamb and the Dragon
Part IV: Morning in May
Just about anything by Metric
I would also look to Pink Floyd, Queen, the Beatles, and Simon and Garfunkel. I think they knew how to capture this feeling perfectly and classics, with a relaxing guitar and throbbing voice, are often the way to go.
Or techno yourself into oblivion and then put on LMFAO's "Sorry For Party Rockin' "

Sorry my song offers don't have the lyrics that address this btw. Mine are more based on the emotions created....
Also, *hugs* my condolences. My grandpa died this past Saturday and this is what I've been listening to on repeat.

One song that I love to pull me out of a funk and put me in a party mood, is the Mighty, Mighty, Bosstones-The Impression that I get.
The lyrics don't really address your issue, but the song might make you feel better.

Kimbra - Limbo
I find Firewater's The Golden Hour works when I'm not sure what I am or want to be feeling, but a certain degree of defiance seems to be called for.

1. I'm so sorry for your loss.
2. Richard Thompson's your man. Anything by him, really, but try I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight.

Response by poster: Thank you everyone. Of course I don't expect the lyrics to address my exact situation, just you know, happy and sad at the same time.
