Is there any way to have my Favorites in Windows Explorer (XP Pro) be automatically sorted in alpha order?

Where is that option? I am talking about the Favorites pulldown in the toolbar menu.

I want my favourites to behave like this, but I've never got it to refresh itself into alpha order properly when I add a new one.

However, you can navigate to the folder they're in and sort them that way, and leave "auto arrange" ticked - doesn't actually auto-arrange them though for me.

The folder is

c:\documents and settings\username\favourites

Best answer: Click on the Favorites menu, right-click any random one in the list, and click "Sort by Name."

Click "Favorites" from the menu bar. Once the list drops down, right click any of the shortcuts and select "Sort by Name" from the context menu.

...well, it will sort it, but when you start adding more, it doesn't keep it sorted. Sorry about that...

Yeah, the colleague for whom I posted this question just found that out, and it works for him, but not for me! Fortunately, I can live with unsorted favorites. Thanks, all.
