Suggestions for Paris and Nancy with a toddler?

We are heading to Nancy and Paris France at the end of the week with our 12.5 month old, and we will be in each city for a week. I am looking for suggestions!

We have the flying pretty much sorted (this is her 2nd longish haul international flight, so we at least know it is possible to survive) and we have our tgv tickets to get between the cities, and we have a place in the center of each city (a suite hotel in Nancy and an apartment in Paris) but beyond that we don't have much planned. I've been to Paris a few times, my husband has not, and neither of us has been to Nancy. Our daughter is a super mobile talkative monster who loves to eat, run around, and look at art. We are not taking a stroller, just an ergo, but are amenable to long treks with her. While I have read through the older threads about France, I would love any suggestions of places to see/things to do/things to avoid/places to eat/places to avoid/etc. Thank you so much!

Best answer: I'd suggest, in Paris, Luxembourg Gardens. Also Musee Rodin, which has a nice garden.

Musee D'Orsay has art that's kid friendly, being full of pretty impressionists.

Once you get there:

"Pick up a copy of Objectif Musée, available at Paris museums, and discover all of the activities organized by state museums for children. Paris-Île-de-France avec des Yeux d'Enfants, published by the tourist office, lists fun things to do in Paris with kids. Both are in French only."

Best answer: Oh, also check out Jardin des Plantes, right across the street is the Paris Mosque, which has a beautiful cafe with inner courtyards, sweet mint tea, and incredibly sweet arab pastries.
