No cable but need to watch TNT

I do not have cable or satellite and I need to watch a program on TNT. I have a TiVo DVR; PS3; Netflix streaming; ethernet connection to iMac. I am willing to spend a little money for the show. What's my best hope? (If the answer includes the ethernet connection to the computer, please explain clearly -- I'm not very computer savvy).

It would really help if you told us which program it was, some are available through Amazon VoD or similar services and some aren't.

TNT also has a lot of full episodes of its regular programming available on its website.

For which you need to "authenticate" with a cable/satellite provider to confirm whether you have a package that includes access, which isn't going to help in this case.

If the show isn't on one of the VoD platforms or iTunes, you're probably out of luck.

Oh, dang! That blows, as I watched Falling Skies without a cable account just last summer and was looking forward to doing so again this season.

I don't have cable or satellite either (I refuse to pay for all the stuff I'd never watch), and when this came up for me, I just asked a friend who does have cable to record it.

If it's just a one-time thing, and you can't find anybody to record it for you or invite you over to their house to watch, perhaps see if a local hotel offers that channel in its cable package, and rent a room.

A friend (and fellow mefite!) who lacks cable put out a call on facebook asking if anyone wanted to host her for a film she wanted to see that was on HBO; she offered to bring exotic liquor. We offered space on our couch in front of the TV and she brought the liquor; a fine evening was had by all.

In addition to hotels and other people's houses, bars are another place where you might be able to persuade the people to tune to a certain channel.
