Waterproofing glittery shoes?

Help me find a good, clear, waterproof sealant for some shoes I have made glittery.

I used this method to make some glittery shoes (with rhinestones on the toes!) for a friend's birthday but I'm worried they'll get ruined if she wears them in the rain or that the Mod Podge will stretch out and fall off the shoes (this started to happen to the pair I did as a test). I want to find something just like the Mod Podge (goes on easily, dries totally clear) but definitely waterproof that will seal everything together and make it possible for her to wear the shoes for a long time and ensures that the glitter and rhinestones won't separate from the actual shoe. Ideally it won't be too expensive and I can order it on-line. Thank you for your suggestions!

Clear nail polish or spray paint.

Maybe something like this silicone spray?

This person used gloss acrylic sealer. I've been wanting to make some glitter shoes myself, and every other tutorial I've looked at just calls for glossy Mod Podge to seal.
