Please help me track down this (very faintly remembered) comic book!
I remember reading what I thought was (but may not be) an issue of The Incredible Hulk when I was a kid (i.e. late '70s or early '80s). I'm pretty sure it was a one-off plot where the Hulk encounters some sort of monster, fights him and then learns (via the "monster"'s younger brother) that his adversary used to be a normal human being but was deformed by toxic waste dumped in a cave. I believe the issue ended with the Hulk moving on and the brother promising to take care of the monster (who retains a semblance of human emotion) and keep him out of trouble as best he can. Ring any bells for you comic book experts out there?
