Reno 911: are some seasons better than others?
Hi gang, I recently noticed that Reno 911 is on Netflix streaming. Watching the whole series is a bit daunting, so are there particular seasons that are stronger than others?
I can be convinced to go through the whole thing if the feedback in that direction is strong enough. Thanks.

I found it to be fairly consistently funny throughout the run. As cupcake1337 mentioned, there are some cast changes in the final season and even though I wasn't crazy about them I don't feel like it really impacted the show negatively.
I think I know what I'll be watching tonight.

Generally consistent show and despite some loose story arcs, can be enjoyed out of order.

Best answer: For me, the final season doesn't quite hold together as well as the other seasons (I think some of the new characters just aren't quite as funny as the characters they replaced, though all the performers are great), and if I recall correctly the first season may have had some moments where it felt it hadn't quite hit its stride yet, but yeah, the whole series is pretty consistently hilarious.

I think the first season was a bit "slower" and more grounded (less zany), but all seasons were strong.

When it comes to this show, I'm somewhat of a purist.
Not a big fan of the addition of Kimball/Declan/Rizzo characters (seasons 3-5 for Kimball, season 6 for Declan/Rizzo).
I just feel that the chemistry with the main troupe wasn't there and they were merely tinkering with a classic Coke formula that turned out to be New Coke.

Those things go down easy. The show is like the White Russian of the comedy world. You may find it's not so daunting when you start watching.

Also think Season 2 was the best, but you have to see Season 1 Episode 10 (Burning Man) even if you don't watch any of the rest of Season 1.

They are all pretty good. Every season has some episodes that weren't great, and the last season had mostly bad episodes. But that was made up for with a couple of top notch ones.
And I really want to be Terry Bernadino's friend.

The first season doesn't hold up as well once you watch the rest of the series because, imo, they go through a lot of the obvious set ups. It's not that the first season is unfunny, it's just that later seasons are creative to an extraordinary degree (with the exception of the last season which lags a bit). Also check out the movie.
