You are getting verry sleepy... Spiral Umbrella!

Where can I get an umbrella with a spiral pattern?

I've been wanting one forever. I periodically search online, but I've never found what I'm looking for. I want a RAIN umbrella with a black and white spiral on it. Similar to this, but again, a waterproof umbrella, not paper, and preferably black and white. And I would hope under $100. But....I have wanted one for a long time.

I'm imagining the cartoon villain spinning the umbrella to hypnotize someone. I'm not sure I've ever actually seen a real umbrella with this pattern. But they must exist. Right?

So, do you know where I can get one? Online, hopefully. But I'm in Milwaukee if relevant.

These people seem to be selling them.

The Guggenheim has a store with the swirl on the inside. I have wanted one too! I only see them with the swirls on the inside though.

Well spotted, pipeski!

Response by poster: Thanks pipeski and Faint of Butt, I saw that one, the only problem is it a 60" canopy, which is a little large for practical use.

Dunno where, but -- are you familiar with Klaus Nomi? He used something very similar, in his stage show.

The orange and black spiral one on that site is only 42" and still looks very cartoon villan-y to me.

You can roll your own.

Response by poster: Thanks chairface, I just might do that. I did go ahead and order that other one too, since it was on sale for $15. It'll work at the beach!

This one is a little more expensive (A$28) but looks like it fits the bill, and it's "mini"

You may be able to have one custom-made. I have a friend who works at a large-format printing place, and they specialize in vinyl banners and trade-show gazebos and stuff. Umbrellas aren't much of a conceptual leap.

Or just get a plain white one and go nuts with the black paint.

Obligatory Vi Hart video about spirals, should you decide to DIY.
