How to find out about in-app purchases

What did my son buy on my iPad?!?

I think one of my children may have made many "in-app" purchases on my iPad, but I can't figure out what/how many. Do you know how to figure this out?

When I look in the "App store" the game shows 4 top "in app" purchases. How do I find out if there were more, and if so, how many?

I tried looking in the iTunes purchase history, and it doesn't show anything. Do in-app purchases show up in iTunes, and if not, where can I see them?

I was checking this because I remembered I'd forgotten to turn the restrictions back on my iPad, and I'm pretty tense about this. My son is 4 - he does not understand about buying things (not very well, anyway).

Response by poster: My account asks for passwords for every purchase, and it's a complex password - my son does not know it. However, I'd turned of the "in-app purchase" restriction, so I think it's possible he bought something. And the game shows that there are "top in app purchases." I want to find out if those are purchases he made.

Best answer: You can browse your purchase history in iTunes on your computer. Click on "Store" in the menu bar, and choose "View My Account" in the menu. (If "View My Account" isn't there, then you'll need to sign in first. The "Sign In" option is also in the "Store" menu.)

This should bring up the Account Information screen in the main iTunes window. Scroll down to Purchase History, And click on the "See All >" link to the right of that.

The next screen will show your purchases, grouped into weekly batches. You can click on the gray circled arrow to the left of each line to show the itemized list. In-App purchases are included there, and marked as such in the "Type" column.

Yes, Kalthare is correct.

I think what's throwing you is the top in-app purchases. It's not an indication that you've purchased anything, but a general list: This is a chart of the top in-app purchases owners of this app have bought.

If nothing shows up on your purchase history, you're good.

Response by poster: Thanks! And phew. I don't believe there were purchases after all.

FYI - You're able to block in app purchases in the settings.

Settings -> General -> Restrictions
