My resume needs work

Does anyone have experience with a Toronto-based company or individual that specializes in improving resumes?
During the last couple of years, I have applied for a number of jobs for which I was qualified but where I did not receive an interview. I think part of the problem may be that my resume isn't especially well-designed, from the perspective of potential employers.
Does anyone have experience with a Toronto-based company or individual that specializes in improving resumes? To be completely clear, my intention is not to put anything false or in any way misleading into the document. I am just looking for someone who can look at it effectively from the perspective of an employer and make some suggestions.
Google turns up lots of results, but it is hard to know if the companies are any good. Their websites certainly don't look especially professional.
It is worth noting that my main area of interest is climate change and that my resume is mostly used to apply for academic purposes (like scholarships). I have also applied for environmentally-related jobs in the not-for-profit sector.
Many thanks.

Response by poster: $349 seems a bit steep, though I suppose that is a lot less than the value of a job or scholarship. I would probably need one of the 'professional' grade packages to cover both work and academic undertakings.
