Good Hip Hop songs that sound like they are running on a higher RPM?

What are some hip hop songs/albums/artists that use the sped-up RPM voices (like the Chimpmunk's sound) and/or horn samples well in their songs?

I'm getting back on the running/exercise bandwagon after winter, and I really like hip hop songs to run to. I really, really like songs that use the sped-up voice samples (that may sound somewhat like the Chipmunks) as part of the song or chorus. Also, I love when horn samples are used well, such as what RJD2 has done on some songs. Old or new songs are both welcome!

What are the most excellent hip hop songs you know that incorporate Chipmunk-style voices and/or horns well?

(I'll try to think of a sample of what I mean with the Chipmunk-voice thing if people don't understand.) Thanks in avance!

Kanye West - School Sprit uses this, and happens to be a great running song IMO.

Sorry, I can't link to any samples right now, but my favorite in this vein is "Overnight Celebrity" by Twista ft. Kanye West. In fact, if memory serves me, I believe Kanye was the one who really popularized the use of this vocal effect, so I'd check into his production catalogue from the early to mid part of the 2000's. There are many examples to be found there.

Also, not sure how good he'd be for running to, but on the underground side of things Quasimoto (alter-ego of Madlib) employs a sped-up, higher pitched vocal on all of his raps.

Best answer: Kanye West - Through the Wire

This song, more than any other, IMHO, brought the technique to the forefront. But RZA had been doing it for a while prior to that.

I don't know if the bridge in Frank Zappa's Montana is sped up, but it sounds like it. (at 3:24 +/-)

I'm riding a tiny horse, his name is Tiny Little
He's a good horse....

Sorry, not hip-hop. I'm so old I can't even read actual words, anymore.

Quasimoto, the rapping alter ego of producer extraordinaire Madlib, may be just the thing you're looking for.

I know you asked for hip-hop, but this was a huge thing with Jungle and UK Hardcore records in the 90s.

Here's an example.

A lot of Kanye West's production work for Jay Z has this. See The Blueprint 2- The Gift and the Curse for lots of examples.

9th Wonder & Royce 5'9 (+ Naledge & Vandalyzm) - The Last Time.
Dilated Peoples - Back Again.
Santigold - I'm a Lady (Benny Blanco remix)
And on Red Velvet, Dre's whole verse is sped up.

Major Lazer's Mary Jane is stacked high with voices at all sort of speeds, all the way to Alvin.

A large majority of Kanye's production -

Kanye - Slow Jamz
Overnight Celebrity
D.O.D - Paid the Price
Jay-Z - Lucifer

Here's a video showing off Kanye making Paid the Price where he is speeding up the the sample.

Nthing the Kanye recommendation. Back in his producer days, those chipmunk-soul samples were a big part of his thing.
