What companies (preferably located in NYC) offer great maternity/family care benefits?

Since I am looking for a new job, it seems like a good time to try to get into a company where I can stay for a while and eventually take advantage of great family benefits.

MeFites, can you share your knowledge of any companies that have stellar family benefits, i.e. day care on site, paternity leave, etc.?

Financial Service Companies (banks, hedge funds etc) tend to offer amazing benefits, but working for them can be soul sucking.

Additionally, any large European based company will have better benefits than American based Companies. (I know this holds true for Banking and for Engineering)

Large law firms have great maternity leave benefits for attorneys; sometimes they are different for staff so you need to check.

Procter and Gamble has great leave benefits (including "primary care giver leave" which may be taken by either parent if they are staying home for up to a year - unpaid, but with a guarantee of a job).

I meant to say, I wasn't sure if P&G had locations in NYC (i'd be shocked if they didn't) but I know they have jobs in Boston (Gillette).

Check out the SAS Institute, reknowned for its jaw-dropping benefits. Looks they have opportunities in NYC.

If I had to do it over I'd probably try to work at a college or university that offers tuition assistance to family members.
