Saving image links in email.

Looking for an email client or plug-in that will automatically download and rename hyperlinked images.

So, I tend to send and receive a fair amount of links to images (wacky links and the like) culled from various famous internet places. What I would like is an email client that will automatically download the image from these links, rename the file (according to timestamp, email subject, or other user-specified parameters), and save it in the directory of my choosing. Windows or OS X is fine, as is Android or iOS. Does such a thing exist?

I don't know of any clients that have this feature built in, but most clients support some form of scripting so it is doable.

Oh, and I'd like it to download images for both sent and received links.
