Recommend a tailor in Richmond, VA for a student

I am a male in my 20's, and I get the same things done every time (shirt sides taken in, coat sleeves taken up, or pant legs hemmed up). Does anyone know of an affordable, quality tailor in Richmond? Every time I call asking for an estimate, they tell me to bring my clothes in to get an estimate. I would waste time and money driving all over town!

Best answer: My wife uses King's Custom Tailor on Hull Street near 288 and I know that she likes them very much. She probably focuses more on quality than affordability, but whenever I pick things up for her it always seems inexpensive to me.

I use Sandy's Alterations in Sycamore Square, and have for years. They are very good, and very reasonable!

You might consider buying clothes at a store which offers tailoring... Miller and Rhodes used to and Thalhimers. Maybe there are still some full-service stores where you can buy what you want and have them do the alterations onsite?
