My new shoes broke me in with a blister - how can I clean the blood stain?

I bought a new pair of shoes I'm super happy with, but they gave me a wicked blister and now I have a blood stain on the back of the heel. Is there any hope to get it clean?

The shoes are Keen Toyah, and according to the specs, looks like a leather lining. I'd rather if my 2 day old shoes weren't sporting a nasty stain of blood. Ew. Has anyone dealt with anything similar? It just happened a few hours ago, if "freshness" counts. (Again, ew.)

Try peroxide. Use a cotton ball to apply it.

hydrogen peroxide - use a q-tip to put a few drops on the stain. apply a few times if the first go doesn't get it all out.

Ayup, peroxide. Avoid bleach, because it will permanently lighten the leather.

Yes, I also have a problem turning the stove burner up too high, and tend to torque the shower to super-duper-hot at first. Why do you ask?
