Dallas Restaurants: Can anyone recommend a great, moderately priced romantic restaurant in Dallas? I've read through Dallas Citysearch (romantic restaurants are actually featured on the front page right now), but any personal recommendations would be much appreciated!

No personal recommendations, but the people over at chowhound seem to like The Grape. The most romantic I've been to so far might be Lola's, which was very tasty and cozy but not strictly romantic (and maybe more than moderately priced?)

It depends on how moderate moderate is, and how serious you want your romantic to be. It's been about a year since I've been to York Street, but when I went the food was fantastic with some reasonable selections on the wine list. The place is tiny and lovely in a simple way, and the service was fantastic.

I've heard good things about Cafe Izmir, but I've never been there. Occasionally there are really good tasting menu deals at Lola.

For something kind of fun, there's one of the several fondue places. I prefer them just for desset and champagne because cooking my own meal gets a little grating after a while, but a full meal there is a must-do once. If you want fairly romantic yet highly carnivorous, the Texas de Brazil on Cedar Springs is a lovely space and the meat is very good.

I usually use Guidelive.com to do some general surfing research, and you might want to browse by neighborhood there to get some other ideas.

Tons of cool places on McKinney if memeory serves me correctly. The restaurant on the top floor of the Adam's Mark hotel was kinda pricey, but the views were amazing and the atmosphere was a mix of romantic and sophisticated. (The hotel stunk, by the way. Don't stay there!)

I ate at Baby Doe's on my wedding day. It was nice.

They have a resturant in that observatory ball thing. It rotates.

Breadwinners is my favorite place in Dallas - a little busy - but the courtyard is very nice. Amazing food, great wine list, and killer sweets.

I don't know the Dallas area, but I do know the Zagat guide. It's really cheap for a one-month subscription ($4.95) and there is a plethora of information on good restaurants. This is how I found a good place to eat after our wedding in Manhattan.
