Does anyone know of a service that will scan all of your photographs for you? (And maybe put them back in your family album nicely?)

Kinkos will do it, but they will charge a ridiculous amount.

I looked into this last year. The best rate I got, from a company to which I have given a lot of business, was 79ยข per photograph.

So yeah, it's ridiculously expensive. For my budget, prohibitively so.

Costco, Wal-Mart, and Sam's Club scan photos or at least the negatives/slides I think. I'm not sure of the price.

Check out DigMyPics -- $0.59/print. (No affiliation, never used em, just found them a while back)

Sounds like it might be cheaper to buy your own scanner and do it yourself.
