What's that book filter: B wants to remember a book from his childhood. Details inside.
B here. bear with me, it's been a decade or so.
From what I can remember, the plot had something to do with a boy, roughly teenaged, who fell down a hole and wound up in the woods in our world. He had superhuman abiliities such as the one to jump over really high fences and to carve roots into recognizable people. At the end he took the family that took him in back to his world, and I distinctly remember that they failed to finish dinner before they left. Also, the cops were looking for him, and I think the kid couldn't speak, or just couldn't speak English. The family had a son and a daughter, and I'm pretty sure they owned a farm of some sort.
The cover was outer space and planets with a random doorway in the middle and the main character falling out of it. I think. Don't quote me on it.

Response by poster: B says (and I quote), "Thank you, almighty internet, you have served me well this day."
I say thank you as well. :)
