How I Restore the Windows 7 Default Network Manager?

I have a NetgearWG111v3 wireless USB network adapter. I absolutely hate the software it comes with to manage internet connections. I'd rather use the default network management tool that is built into Windows 7 (clicking on the notification area to bring a drop down list of available networks). Is there a way to restore the windows 7 default?

- Click start and type 'services.msc' in the search box. Look in your services console for 'Wireless Zero Configuration' and ensure it is set to automatic. Reboot.
