MusicFilter: You all know "Denise." I need songs like that in genre, year, and theme.

I'm making a mix for my parents for Christmas, and it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. My dad LOVES "Denise" and also "Blueberry Hill" and also "Peggy Sue." Please tell me other things that they might like!

The Reflections - (Just Like) Romeo & Juliet
Herman's Hermits - Silhouettes
Herman's Hermits - I'm Into Something Good

And to clarify: do you only want happy songs?

Sounds similar to Rag Doll by the Four Seasons, so any of their songs but please also consider my true love, The Zombies.

Oops, sorry, didn't see you already mentioned Peggy Sue.

I've been in the office 14 hours, please just let me go home.

'Denise' falls into the genre of doo wop, which is mostly just a group of three to five guys/girls harmonizing and making great music.

Dion and the Belmonts - Runaround Sue, The Wanderer, A Teenager In Love

Franki Valli and the Four Seasons - Walk Like A Man, Sherry, Workin' My Way Back to You

The Searchers - Love Potion No. 9, Needles and Pins, It's In Her Kiss

The Chiffons - One Fine Day, He's So Fine, Sweet Talkin' Guy

The Crystals - He's a Rebel, Da Doo Ron Ron, Then He Kissed Me

The Drifters - There Goes My Baby, Under the Boardwalk, Save the Last Dance for Me

Jay and the Americans - Come a Little Bit Closer, This Magic Moment, The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore

Little Anthony and the Imperials - Shimmy Shimmy Ko Ko Bop, Hurts So Bad, Going Out of My Head

Smokey Robinson and the Miracles - I Second That Emotion, The Tracks of My Tears, Ooo Baby Baby

The Shirelles - Mama Said, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Baby It's You

The Temptations - Ain't Too Proud to Beg, My Girl, The Way You Do The Things You Do

The Four Tops - Bernadette, Baby, I Need Your Lovin', Reach Out I'll Be There
