ID a short story about an infectious video

I'm trying to find a short story I read a few years ago about a 'viral' video tape. The unique property of the story was that it was written as a collection of notes and emails between the characters.

*spoilers* -- it was a great short story, and the way I'm about to describe it would spoil a new reader, so, proceed carefully:
1) The video was of a man decaying in a chair
2) At the end, one woman who watches the video dies, from cancer I think, with a strange mark visible in her eye
3) It is literally entirely written as pieces of correspondence, mainly emails I think.
4) The video was viral in that it spread and the man decaying in the video began to appear on television, in scenes of old movies, etc.

I read it a year or so ago, any help IDing and/or locating it would be amazing! Thank you!

Best answer: Is it "each thing i show you is a piece of my death"? Here's a small description.

While I can't help you with this exact short story, I can tell you another great book that was written in this style...a series of emails between an Artificial Intelligence and it's creator as it becomes self-aware. It's called Exegesis and it's a really good read :)

Good luck finding your answer.

Response by poster: Thanks!
"each thing i show you is a piece of my death" is definitely the story I was looking for, and I will be sure to take a look at Exegesis -- I think this writing style is pretty awesome.
Happy Holidays and all!

the story was offered as a free pdf download from Clockwork Phoenix in early 2010, which you may be able to find somewhere. If you do let me know, the googles turns up nada.
