Volunteer tracking in Raiser's Edge

Has anyone used Raiser's Edge fundraising software to track volunteers?

I am trying to begin a volunteer tracking program within the non-profit I work for. We use Raiser's Edge for our development work and are in the process of seeing how the Raiser's Edge volunteer module can been utilized. Anyone here have experience with A) Raiser's Edge and volunteers, B) Raiser's Edge and general contact management/tracking, and C) any general advice/tips/tricks/tactics for effective volunteer tracking.

Yes. All it is is an Access database front end. Not impressed. Try asking at www.techsoup.org

The tech support was a 2 person outfit and took a long time to get back to us.

Here's a thread I found about it.

I use Raiser's Edge to maintain contacts (for the nonprofit I work for), but mainly we use it to track proposals and donations. I'm not sure what you mean by volunteer tracking--it can track just about anything. In my experience it's easy to add catagories to any kind of individual record.
