Zooming forward with the Xoom

I'm deploying a fleet of Motorola Xoom Android tablets to a couple dozen skilled trade workers. What apps do I need to include to help make my life and the lives of the workers as easy as possible? No internet access other than a few approved sites (managed by firewall and a wireless profile), but they'll be getting their email and calendar (all powered by GAFE) too.

The Google Device Policy app is good for enforcing and keeping track of security policies. It provides some powerful features like being able to remotely wipe the device, while at the same time being transparent to the user about what exactly it is doing.

You do know the Xoom 2 is coming out basically as we speak right? Substantially thinner and lighter, etc...

It might help to know a bit more about what line of work you're in and what these workers will be using the devices for.

Response by poster: The main function is going to be use of the tablets to enter things into a work order system accessed through the browser, and to possibly look at PDF manuals or vendor websites through the browser and PDF viewer. They're going to have very locked down internet access on these tablets as well, so nothing really web heavy.

Picked the Xoom because we got it on a good sale and there's already an Otterbox for it.
