Heatmaps, cickmaps?

Please recommend Heatmap system for a website.

I need to implement heatmaps, clickmaps, etc., for a website I manage.
I have tried Clickdensity and found it lacking (just a bunch of little dots, not very attractive or easy to understand).
What service, free or affordable should I try? I'd even go for expensive if it was worth it.

We used Crazyegg a few years back. It worked well for what we wanted at the time.

signal: I made one for my job. It uses jquery on the front end and uses ruby/redis to store data on the backend. Let me know if you are interested, I could open source it. It's a bit rough, as it was built for our needs, but it should do the trick.
