Mont Blanc capped pen hacks?

I love the idea of using Mont Blanc ink in pilot G2's, but I prefer pens with caps. Do any capped pens work with this wonderful trick?

You might know this already, but the Pilot G2 Limiteds, though capless, are retractable. Not quite like the usual G2s.

Anecdotally, I can confirm that the Mont Blanc refills will dry up without a cap.

hal_c_on - Regular G2s are retractable as well.

Eagerly watching for an answer to this!

You inspired me to poke around again. Still not coming up with anything, but I did find this thread that might be useful. I haven't waded through ten pages of posts yet, though.

Best answer: haHA! Sorry for the multiple posts, but check this out:

Pilot has an upscale line called "Namiki". Their cheapest rollerball is the Knight, available for about $30. According to Namiki's pen care page (click on "Rolling Ball"), "Use of Pilot BG25R and BG27R refills is recommended to ensure proper mechanical functioning of Namiki rolling ball pens." Then, over here on their price list (pdf), it shows those refills as having UPC codes 7723x and 7724x, same as...G2!

So...maybe it would work? It would still be nice to find a $2 pen with a cap that fit, but $30 for a metal body Mont Blanc might be worth the gamble.
