CSS tabs for centered pages

Does anybody know of an example of navigation tabs created with CSS that will work in a page with centered content?

I like this example of CSS tabs (complete with a sub-nav bar), but would like to have it work in a page with centered content (like Kottke's). I'm a CSS newbie, and am trying to learn by example. Does anyone know of such an example, or tell me how to get this to work? My head is swimming from looking at all the CSS tab examples out there. Thanks!

One of the Listamatic lists would probably work. A lot of them use floats; here's a guide to clearing floats.

Best answer: These inline mini tabs are quite nice.
