Seeking ELO calculator

Looking for a tool to calculate ELO rankings for an entire tournament of an arbitrary game from scratch

I'm doing a bit of research into some games that publish data, for each Swiss tournament, on the winner of each round. I'd like to calculate what the ELO ratings would be if these games were ranked using this system. However, I can't find an ELO calculator online that'll do an entire tournament of an arbitrary game. Does anyone know of any?

Down at the bottom of this page there are a couple of ELO ratings calculators. Some of the software is really old, but there's an Excel spreadsheet that might do the job for you, depending on what format your data is in.

I don't know that this sort of functionality really exists in the software for pairing chess tournaments, as you send the results off the USCF to deal with (or at least you did when I was involved in rated chess). But you might grab the trial version of WinTD and see if it'll calculate ratings. The WinTD website does say it'll compute ratings. I assume it'll do that with a completed tournament, rather than one it's pairing. I last used WinTD in 1998 or so and god knows what's changed since then. (It now has a Mac version! You no longer show up first thing in the morning with the entire tournament on a floppy in your pocket waiting for the people who've promised laptops to show up.)

Response by poster: hoyland: Thanks; I ended up implementing it myself, but I'll keep that page to refer to.
