Recommendations for an orthopedic surgeon in Seattle?

I am looking into going to Seattle for a meniscal repair. I am not looking for a surgeon who will only do a menisectomy; the tear is tricky to repair but not impossible. I do have current MRI scans. Have any of you seen really good, confident and capable orthopedic specialists in Seattle you'd recommend? Or, are there any clinics in Seattle who currently do stem cell injections and/or regenerative therapies that you'd recommend? I've heard of Regenexx in Colorado, but don't know if there's anything like in Seattle.

Bonus points if you can give me a rough estimate of how much arthoscopic surgery will cost without insurance. Thanks!

My husband had a meniscus repair somewhere on first hill in Seattle and really liked his surgeon. Dr Neil Roberts at Orthopedics International on First Hill.

"Stem cell injections" are stuff of dubious medical efficacy and safety. I'd avoid it. See this previous MetaFilter thread.

I've used Dr. John Thayer (twice -- not his fault) for this. He's at Proliance. Highly recommended.

My husband is happy to answer any questions you have about the procedure and the referral process. Memail me your contact info if you'd like (we will keep it confidential).

I went to Dr. Roger Larson at UW Medicine years ago, for my ACL reconstruction, and again a few weeks ago to talk about the loose meniscus resulting from that injury that's been bugging me. He's a great guy to talk to, and nationally-recognized for knee anthroscopic surgery work. FWIW, he felt that regenerative therapies for meniscus repairs are not there yet, but he expected to see truly successful treatment regiments to emerge within a decade.
