Seeking London CBT counsellor

An acquaintance is looking for a therapist to help with OCD, possibly through cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Do any MeFites have any feedback on London-based private therapists, or advice on how to find one?
I know that the NHS is an option, but the waiting times for this kind of treatment are long (and the OCD is not yet severe enough for my acquaintance to have priority, even if it were available).
Even advice on what sort of qualifications or trade bodies/organisations a counsellor should belong to would help, as there are hundreds of places offering therapy and I can't tell the good from the bad.
Thank you!

For finding a private counsellor/therapist my university counselling service recommend the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I imagine there will be practitioners based in London listed there.
For a psychologist they recommend the British Psychological Society.
I have no experience of using either of these resources. But, I have used the university counselling service that recommended these sites and they were very good, so I, personally, would trust their recommendations.

This isn't what you're asking, but I hope you don't mind me recommending two books, at least while your friend sorts out finding a therapist:
Freedom From Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: A Personalized Recovery Program For Living With Uncertainty and Brain Lock: Free Yourself from Obsessive-Compulsive Behavior.
I especially recommend the the first.
