Does anyone remember a movie called "Flicker Lighter" or something similar about how to make someone go crazy by flicking lights, banging pipes, moving furniture?
There was a movie that inspired a crazy conspiracy theorists' website about the government making him go crazy by flicking lights outside his window, rearranging his furniture, banging on pipes and such. There was something about him trying to do that to his wife but then it started happening to him.

Best answer: Yeah, don't know about the website, but the icon for the concept is Cukor's movie Gaslight.

Could this be the website? It explicitly references the 1944 (Cukor) version of Gaslight.

you know, there's electronic devices that you can get designed precicely for this purpose (i forget what they're called...annoyance devices?). they're pretty sick. small, battery operated gadgets that make a really annoying high pitched noise every 5-10 minutes (randomly)...often enough to be maddening, not often enough to be easy to locate the source.
