Real Estate agent credibility

Any advice for checking out real estate agent credibility? In the Miami area for example?

(And has anyone ever worked with Bill Brough - Homefinders of Miami, Inc. - in South Beach?)

Better Business Bureau is a good starting point, although they'll only track complaints, so you have no idea from their report if this guy's just a particularly good con man who has yet to get caught.

If he's a Realtor (capital, big red R) then he's licensed by the state, and is a member of the board of Realtors. They also track complaints, performance, and a number of other things. This guy got all of his certifications and training through them, so they're the most official with his track record.

Finally, employ your powers of Google-Fu. This will only bring up digital spoor, but if he's done any advertising on the web or has touched souls that inhabit it, you'll find out about it.
