Verizon iPhone to AT&T

I currently have a Verizon iPhone 4, but now my mom and I are switching to AT&T and she bought 3GS's....I really don't wanna go back to the 3GS, is there a way I can keep my 4 and just switch services? Like can AT&T just put their service in my phone? Or would I have to get a new phone from them?

Best answer: No, they're different phones. The Verizon one has CDMA hardware for the Verizon network, the AT&T one has GSM for its network. Totally incompatible.

Best answer: You would have to get a new phone, since Verizon's iPhones run on the CDMA networks and don't have SIM cards; AT&T's iPhones run on the GSM networks and have SIM cards.

Frankly, you should be able to get a good enough price on the used verizon iPhone 4 to get another used iPhone 4, even if you have to wait a couple weeks for the price to drop after the iPhone 5 announcement.
