What is this sauce?

What is this delicious sauce from Gujarat?

A friend who bought it for me said it is pretty ubiquitous at restaurants and in homes. To my North American palate it tastes similar to marmalade, but spicier, funkier, and deliciouser. Would love to know what it's called, where to buy it (I live in the Bay Area but would resort to the internet), and ideally, a recipe so I can make more myself.

It's a type of mango pickle called chundo -- here's a recipe (though I haven't tried making it myself).

Response by poster: Thanks all. I'll check at Vic's or some of the South Asian markets on University. The fermenting/slow "cooking" method of making this appeals to me, so I'll give that a shot at some point too.

I especially enjoyed the suggestion on that last Amazon link: Serving Tips: Use with nachos, potato chips, sandwiches, fries, croissants, etc.

There should be plenty of Indian shops in the Bay area where you can get it. It's called "chunda" or "chundo".
