Best cheapo camera trap set up?

Tips and recommendations for a cheap camera trap?

I'd like to rig up a super simple camera trap, for use in my garden, to check for foxes. I don't anticipate using this long-term, so a budget solution is ideal. It's close enough to the house that it could be wired, but a wifi enabled system running off batteries would be a plus. I would like suggestions for either a cheap off-the-shelf system, or something DIY, provided it doesn't require jedi level soldering skillz.

You don't define "cheapo," but this game camera is $80. Not WiFi - it saves photos to an SD card.

Digital game cameras as low as $45 at Fleetfarm if you're near one.

Or $60 at Amazon. There's a used one for $40 shipped.
