Updated Comic Drawing Material?

Can anyone recommend some updated drawing books for modern comics?

I have drawn off and on for years. I've recently picked it back up with the purchase of a graphics tablet for my computer. I've taken classes before and have the basic concepts of perspective, proportion and figure drawing. I am looking for a book that focuses on more modern art styles in comics. This like Superman: Red Son or Ultimate Spiderman. All the books I've bought or found online (How to Draw Comics The Marvel Way, etc) are now hideously out dated. Stan Lee wrote the foreword to that book in the late 70s.

Does anyone have some updated material that they would recommend? Thanks a lot.

Best answer: Wizard's How to Draw series is up to date, but still fairly traditional.

Some of the best material I've found is the Dresden Codak art blog Indistinguishable from Magic. Just page back from the start -- the meaty "how art works" posts are easy to spot.

Best answer: Drawing Words and Writing Pictures: Making Comics: Manga, Graphic Novels, and Beyond, by Matt Madden and Jessica Abel.
