Help me recall a particular photographer in/around DC?

Hi guys. Years ago, I was considering having some..."adult" photos done. I was so enamored of the work of one photographer that I was considering a trip to DC to have them done. (I am in NC.) I am thinking about it again, but can't recall the name of the photographer. Does anyone have any ideas as to who it may have been? Clues inside...
Clues...this was back in 2005-ish, probably. It may have not been right IN DC, but around. I recall that he (I think it was a "he") seemed to be getting more work and posting more sessions online, seemed to be growing his business. I seem to recall that he also did some photography of burlesque or cabaret performers. Possibly, he also did some headshots. All of his work was so gorgeous! TIA for any help -

What do you mean by adult specifically? That might narrow the search.

Response by poster: Thanks...the performers came to his studio, I believe, but I still might look into that...
And by adult...I suppose I could also have called them boudoir shots...though some were not quite so restrained, as I recall.

This may be a semi-long shot, but many (though certainly not all) artists in the DC area are members of the Washington Project for the Arts, and have their work on the WPA ArtFile Online. If your photographer does other (non-boudoir) work, you might be able to look through the photography on there and recognize the name.

You might also want to check out the following find-a-photographer directories. Most seasoned pros are part of at least one. Fingers crossed he's in there somewhere :)

How did you hear about the photographer? If it was one of the scene photographers, it might have been through Bound (DC fetish club), or someone associated with Slyx or the like (fetish/adult fashions in Northern VA). Working your way back through connections like that on FB and such might be a good way to pick up the trail.. or find a new photographer!

Response by poster: Best I can recall...I found the photographer through blogs that don't seem to exist anymore.
After much, much googling and browsing, I am indeed leaning towards finding another photographer!
Thanks to everyone for ideas and suggestions, though!

There are quite a few photographers listed on ModelMayhem in NC...
(ModelMayhem seems to be a legit place to look for reviews of both photographers and models via the forums. I have friends who have listings with them in California and the PacNW)

That might be a good place to start looking on Google...
