Can anyone identify this music video I'm describing?

Need help finding a hip-hop music video. Fuzzy details pulled from an unreliable memory inside.

A forum I used to frequent had a "share your favorite hip-hop video" a year or so back, and one in particular caught my attention. I don't remember much other than I liked it, both musically and conceptually.

It went like this: Guy is in his bedroom and begins rapping into the camera. He gets up and starts walking out of his house as the camera remains centered in front of him. He walks outside, he is on the second story of a nondescript New York city building. He either catches or throws a tennis ball and walks into an alley. As he progresses down this alley way, he meets a few characters doing random activities (riding a bike, doing something with a mattress?). As he reaches the end of the alley, the direction of everything reverses and he begins rewinding down the alley and the viewer (me) begins to realize that what I had watched so far has been playing in reverse and he (the emcee) had actually been walking backwards.

I could give more details, but I think this encapsulates the gist of it.
Probably done somewhere between 2007-2010.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Response by poster: It's more recent than Pharcyde. But in watching that, I can safely assume the one I'm remembering is an homage.

Sadly, I know what you are talking about, and when I first saw it immediately knew it was an homage to Drop. But, and this is why it's sad, I can't remember the band or the name of the song!

Best answer: SHAD's Rose Garden was the first thing to come up as an homage to Drop, but it doesn't sound like the same thing you saw.

Response by poster: That's it! (did I mention how unreliable my memory is?)

Thanks.
