Where can I get my PSP fixed for a reasonable price?

Where can I get a PSP repaired for less than the cost of a used/refurbished one?

There are two PSPs in my household, an original model and a 2000. Both have non-functioning but not obviously damaged screens - I was mugged a couple years back and dude dropped my PSP as I chased him down; it seemed to work fine after that but the screen would intermittently go black and eventually wouldn't display at all. The other one belongs to a friend; I was using it after what happened with mine, and one day the screen first had a color glitch then stopped displaying anything. Both charge, turn on, etc.

Where can I get these repaired inexpensively? I've been quoted prices ranging from $75-100 for repair; for this price I could pick one up used or buy a refurb unit. Or is this something where I'll need to learn how to do it myself?

In Chicago, if that matters.

There are plenty of tutorials on the web on how to DIY fit a new screen (e.g. http://www.llamma.com/PSP/PSPTearDown.htm). A new screen on eBay should be about 20 USD. So if you think you can handle it, DIY is definitely going to be the cheapest way.
