Where to get a joey for Joey?

Librarian/KidsBookFilter: I want to get a friend's imminent arrival a very specific species of stuffed animal with a related story book for 4-year-old big sister... Oz-tastic teeny tiny little snowflake details to follow...
My friend is having a baby boy, very, very soon (like, I should have asked this a month ago soon...). Although I don't recall why, we've affectionately referred to The Imminent Arrival as "Baby Joey". I thought it would be fun to get him a really soft, infant-safe stuffed kangaroo and get his big sister a storybook that can serve as explanation (my friend is extremely sweet, but I'd assume she doesn't know that "joey" is a nickname for kangaroos in Australia - and I only know because I saw it on Discovery Channel a couple of months ago). My Amazon/Google-fu sucks even at the best of times, and I'm sorta kinda panicking that for once I have an OK idea for a present, but I don't have time to get it sorted...

For infants, you'll want a board book. I would go with Pouch!

Sorry for being slightly off topic, but it might help with your search: 'Joey' isn't a nickname for kangaroos but rather, it's what a baby kangaroo is called. Like how a baby horse is called a foal, etc.

Actually, "joey" isn't a nickname -- it's the name for a infant marsupial of any species, although it's true it's only commonly used in the case of young kangaroos.
I can't think of any iconic Australian books about kangaroos that mention the word "joey", but this would probably suffice.

Oh, sorry, you don't give the big sister's age. How old is she?
I'd say Pouch! (also available as a regular picture book) is good up to pre-K but I wouldn't offer it to kids older than that.

The big sister is 4 -- it's in the above-the-fold part

For the book, might I suggest Possum Magic, a beloved Australian picture book? It's been a long time since I've read it, but there's some kangaroos in there also as I recall.
