iTunes Music store on a dial up

How do I access the iTunes music store with a dial-up connection?
XP home, latest iTunes etc. I've tried disabling firewall (the only advice I could find on the Apple site) but that doesn't help. It dials and connects automatically, but then I get an error telling me it can't connect to the store and I need to check my connection.
Failing that, is there anyway of transferring purchased music (with licences) from my (working) work machine?

Response by poster: It's a fresh install - it's never been used on another connection

Dunno about the connection issue, but just a thought to check to make sure your puter is properly authorized?
To answer your second question: I have dial-up at home and superfastwhatever at work. I put songs in my shopping cart from both places but always purchase them at work, burn them on CD and then import them at home. (I accidentally bought a song from home once and it took forever.) The only downside is that I have to enter all the info into iTunes manually at home.

Best answer: Sasha, you don't have to enter the info manually at home. Instead of burning it as an audio CD, burn it as a CD with your purchased files. Under preferences, select "data cd" or just copy the files directly from where they're stored (you can drag files from iTunes to your desktop). If both computers are authorized to the same account you'll be able to play them in both places with no problems. You'll also still have all the album art, song info, etc.

iTunes knows you have a slower connection, right? If you've been using it from work on a high-speed line it may get confused.
