Easy PlantIDFilter: Name this tree.

Bonus if you can tell me if I can grow it indoors. I saw it in San Francisco; I'm in NYC, if that matters.

Best answer: That's an Angel Trumpet plant. Probably does best outside.

Best answer: ...ah, also - parts of it can be very, very toxic. Handle with care and keep out of the reach of children, pets or thrill-seekers.

That one is specifically Brugmansia sanguinea, from Peru. Unlikely to grow indoors, as Brugmansia needs relatively high humidity. That species in particular needs cool nights to bloom, which is why it does so well in San Francisco.
